The Brief
Monroe Roofing Company brought us in to document the existing shingle condition of a multi-story concrete residence in the Lake Ridge community of Cedar Hill. The request was specific: focus exclusively on detailed aerial captures of the existing roof — shingle pattern alignment, areas of color degradation, and overall material wear — for quality review and documentation purposes. Working within our standard on-site package, we positioned the aircraft to highlight symmetry, texture, and subtle inconsistencies that are often missed from ground level.

THE OUTCOME
There’s a different kind of discipline required when the goal isn’t cinematic drama, but clarity. The scale of the home demanded careful elevation control and tight framing to preserve both accuracy and proportion. From above, the roof revealed its geometry — repeating lines, tonal variation from sun exposure, and the natural aging of materials over time. These images weren’t about spectacle; they were about precision. And in that precision, the project reflected something important: when craftsmanship meets documentation, decisions become informed, and quality becomes visible.
